Technicians of the Department of Social Services will carry out during the next day a census of detailed needs of families affected by floods in the towns of the Mar Menor once access to most of the homes has been expedited, as reported by the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes García.
Thanks to the collaboration of the neighborhood associations of Los Urrutias and Los Nietos, Social Services has been able to prioritize attention on the families most affected by the flood.
This work will now be expanded with the incorporation of more professionals in the area and the presence of social technicians in the OMITAS of both locations.
HELP IN MARCH
The Department is already providing assistance to those affected, who are being provided with food, clothing and household clothes, as well as textbooks.
Social Services has prepared a food forecast for a total of one hundred people.
Institutions such as Cáritas, Abraham Project and The Little Moma are collaborating in this work.
COEC has also offered the City Council the help of its associates to meet the needs determined by municipal services.
