The municipal services of the City Council of Cartagena carry until this morning about 72 tons of appliances and totally unusable supplies removed from the private homes of Los Nietos and Los Urrutias, affected by past floods.
The belongings had been deposited on the public highway by the neighbors to be able to clean and condition their homes, many of them full of mud and mud, with the help of volunteers.
Today, Monday, it is also planned to withdraw the useless belongings of the houses of the Bahía Bella Urbanization, at the mouth of the Rambla de El Albujón, which was also affected by the floods of the cold drop.
During the three days that municipal trucks have been working on the removal of goods, about 28 daily trips to the landfill have been counted, where they are being deposited for treatment and recycling.
PROVISIONAL TRANSFER OF MUDS TO THE COW LANGUAGE
On the other hand, the sludge that is being removed from the streets, mainly in Los Nietos, is being provisionally taken to the site of the Language of the Cow, for once dried, transfer them definitively to the landfill.
The measure has been adopted due to the impossibility of transporting these wet muds by road, since in addition to their greater weight they would cause spills on the road.
