The educational centers of the municipality of Cartagena, including kindergartens and children's education centers, will remain closed during the day of Friday, September 13, before the persistence of the red alert due to heavy rainfall and storms during the next hours and in order to avoid unnecessary risks to students and workers.
The measure has been communicated to the City Council of Cartagena by the Ministry of Education of the Region of Murcia.
For its part, Cartagena City Council has decided to keep the same precautionary measures adopted yesterday by Friday, closing municipal sports facilities, libraries and cultural centers.
It also maintains the suspension of street markets sold in the Mediterranean Urbanization, Isla Plana and Islas Menores, as well as the popular festivals.
From the City Council it is advisable to avoid unnecessary travel by car and never try to cross flooded areas with the vehicle, as well as not to park on the banks, riverbeds or mouths of the waterfront.
