The exhibition will remain on the Los Dolores Campus until October 18, making it coincide with World Alzheimer's Day, which is September 21.
This initiative is part of the lines of collaboration between the Catholic University and this group to expand the preparation of their Nursing, CAFD and Physiotherapy students on this and other dementias.
The Campus of the San Antonio Catholic University in Cartagena hosts from today and until October 18 an informative exhibition of the Association of Family and Patients of Alzheimer's of Cartagena and Region, which shows the evolution and different degrees of affection of Alzheimer's and other dementias .
The works and posters made by technicians and users of the NGO are entitled "I have Alzheimer's and I am still me" and intends to show society, but especially students who study the degrees of Physiotherapy, Nursing and Sports Science at UCAM Cartagena , the different neurodegenerative diseases, how they affect the brain and what cognitive areas are worked through the various activities that are enhanced with patients.
With this exhibition, UCAM and Afal will commemorate the International Alzheimer's Day, celebrated on September 21, a date chosen by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Federation of Alzheimer's (ADI), and at the same time It aims to encourage the realization of volunteering and internship of students of the Los Dolores Campus with Alzheimer's patients.
