The City Council of Cartagena, through the concessionary company Lhicarsa, is carrying out the cleaning of the four lots of municipal property, existing in the area of the lower Morería.
This is a periodic performance that is carried out especially on the occasion of the Fiestas de Carthagineses and Romans, Christmas and Easter and that in principle does not affect the areas with archaeological remains, which require a more specific intervention and is in the process of being hiring
This cleaning of the municipal lots is complemented by the Department of Health, directed by Manuel Padín, with the nearly 300 requirements that have been sent to the owners of lots to keep them clean and in proper conditions.
The requirements have been submitted after registering citizen complaints and checking their status by the Local Police.
As a result, about 50 penalties have been imposed for owners' inaction both in the city and in the county districts and coastal areas, and four subsidiary executions have been ordered.
Sources from the Department of Health have indicated that it expects to reach 500 requirements by the end of this year.
