The La Manga festivities, which were to begin this Wednesday, September 11, are postponed one week due to the forecast of a cold drop episode, as reported by the AEMET, which has already issued several warnings this afternoon for heavy rains.
As of 6 pm on Tuesday, the Agency has activated the yellow warning in the Altiplano and Vega del Segura regions.
This rainy episode will last throughout Thursday and Friday.
For this Wednesday, when the beginning of the popular festivities in La Manga was going to take place, the state meteorological agency has issued an orange warning for the entire Region, which will begin at midnight and will lengthen during Thursday, when heavy rains are expected and intense.
The cold drop episode will continue throughout Friday throughout the Region of Murcia.
Despite the impending rainy episode, the popular La Manga festivities will start next Wednesday, September 18.
'La Manga y Olé', 'Remember', '80s Total', 'Music Dj' and 'Fiesta Country' are the themes of the five days of celebration that the town will live until Sunday 22 with activities for all audiences in the Bohemia Square.
Loaded with music, the festivities will be inaugurated with the proclamation of the sportswoman Patricia Llaguno, a native of La Manga, on Wednesday night and will be starred by the performances of groups such as Desflamencados, Todo Secretos, Carpe Diem and regional groups such as Wargo Blanco and The Untouchables of Iron Ness.
Bohemia Square will be loaded with workshops, animations, tastings, and even a pizza contest or Sunday motorbike rally, including inflatables for children or a parcheesi championship.
As every year, the booths will have as cultural added value the representation of a country with typical dishes and adequate decoration with theme parties.
It will be Saturday when the little ones have a special day with activities such as the foam party, ballet and music with dance and entertainment, going to the night with DJ performances for the youth audience.
In addition, and as an added value to the celebrations, a multicultural space will be opened in the booth of the neighborhood association on Friday and Saturday in which yoga, meditation and even massages will be taught as a sample of the classes they offer throughout the year in their facilities.
