The last afternoon of this Thursday, September 5, the residential estate of Santa Ana began the IV edition of its parties with the opening ceremony starring music and prizes, among which the award to the Local Police of Cartagena on the occasion of its performance in the streets of the neighborhood in the special device of the night of San Juan.
The opening to the public of the pneumatic plant, the first in Spain, opened the programming events, followed by the celebration of the II Triangular football 'City of Cartagena' that took place the teams of EF Santa ana, FC Cartagena and Mar Menor along with a dance from the academy 'Isa Pitera'.
The parade through the main avecina began the evening's events with gifts for the little ones, as well as the performance dedicated to them by the magician Abel, who gave way to the opening gala with the proclamation by the councilor of the Area of Culture, Youth and Equality, David Martínez.
The mayor was accompanied at the opening of the festivities by the second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, along with the councilors of Public Celebrations and Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, Education and Employment, Irene Ruiz, and the delegation of Tourism, Cristina Pérez, who received a distinction from the Party Commission for the support received for their popular parties.
After the incidents in which the Local Police had to intervene with the residential security service on the night of June 23, San Juan, Emilio Juan Rodríguez, who is in charge, collected an award for this work on behalf of all the troops that acted, sharing recognition with the mayor of Area, Torralba, to which they granted another.
Likewise, the two defibrillators for the Miralmonte school that were announced last month by La Caixa were also delivered to the Conservation Entity.
The residential has, in this way, five devices in total, with the objective of incorporating them into the Cardioprotected City circuit of the City Council and setting up training courses for the use of these devices.
The awards continued with the delivery of the traditional title to the 'Best neighbor of the year', which has fallen to Joaquín Velasco Conesa, owner of the Kashmir bar, giving way to the musical performances of Siso Santana and the Ciudad Canalla group, putting a final touch on the evening.
The festivities will continue until Sunday day 8 with a program full of activities for all ages with sports meetings, concerts, children's inflatables and attractions, among others.
For typographical error in the program, pony rides appear as Saturday's activity, but will be held on Sunday at the same time.
