With more than 150 athletes, the UCAM Athletics Cartagena has started the preseason since Monday, September 2 although more athletes are expected to finish the Open Air season and will be incorporated in the following weeks.
The First Division League, the team and individual club championships in the different categories are the objectives of these athletes who, according to the Club's directive, will exceed 200 licenses.
In addition, the ELCANO club Athletics school (subsidiaries and UCAM base team) has also started with 250 children although the President of the Club Alfredo Castilla indicates that they will arrive at the end of this month with more than 320 children in their schools.
On the other hand, the Cehegin Atlético Club together with the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia have awarded the prize for the best work of coach Patricia Paz, director and coach of the UCAM Athletics Cartagena who will receive this award at the gala Sports awards of the Region of Murcia on October 18 in Cehegin.
Patricia expressed her joy and commented "it is very nice to recognize the work of all these years, which have been thanks to the collaboration of all the coaches of the club who strive and fight to make athletics better in Cartagena and in the Region. "
