This morning, during the celebration of the municipal plenary session, we have attended another 'still' photo, and there are already several in this legislature, with the refusal of the local government, integrated by PP, Cs and transfugas, to support initiatives aimed at taking Cartagena out of the blockade to which they have condemned the municipality.
No to new places in the Cartagena Fire Department
'La Trinca' has refused to support the motion presented by the spokesman of the municipal group MC Cartagena, José López, to promote the call for oppositions for the 15 fire stations that the Cartagena training included in the 2017 Public Employment Offer, and that 30 new places be added in 2020.
This refusal comes despite the critical situation of the Fire Department in Cartagena since, during this term (2019-23), there will be the retirement of 32 members, of whom 28 have already turned 55 and can request, when they wish, to go to second activity, which would cause that they could not cover even ordinary shifts.
López recalled that "as a counterpoint to the poor management of PP and PSOE is the work we do in our government responsibilities since it was our training who approved the public employment offers for new positions and promotions, the level rise of 84 firefighters and 14 fire brigades at level C1 and now he is the one who alerts that the service is compromised. "
Refusal to reduce the fiscal pressure on neighbors
The 'Trinca' has continued its work against Cartagena refusing to approve the motion of MC to incorporate into the proposal for approval of the Fiscal Ordinances for 2020 a battery of initiatives that contribute to generate employment, boost economic growth and encourage sustainability.
As expected, the union of PP, the former PSOE and Citizens has resulted in a return to previous policies, where fiscal and administrative instruments were used to increase tax and administrative pressure, in order to reconcile the municipal budget.
Among other issues, the municipal government has refused to:
Eliminate the cadastral value limit, set at 90,000 euros, to qualify for the large family bonus in the Property Tax.
Bonus real estate in which systems have been installed for the thermal or electrical use of energy from the sun.
A 75% discount on the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles for electric motorcycles, as is already done with electric vehicles.
'La Trinca' blocked the natural expansion of Cartagena for its dark interests in the area
The local government has refused to convene, before the end of the year, the contest of the developer of the CC1 and that if it is not carried out it is the City Council itself who, with charge to the 13.8 million recovered by MC in guarantees, start the urbanization of the North Ensanche.
In that sense, it is worth noting that an important part of that amount is in the box of the City of Cartagena to go to urbanization.
It seems obvious to deduce that 'La Trinca' has other plans for the area.
Maybe that's why they plan to pay for land for the City of Justice when free land is available in Mandarache, or their stubbornness for maintaining the railroad route through this location, when neighbors, common sense and, above all, the future of Cartagena advise you to get out of there.
MC has once again expressed concern about maintaining the blockade to Cartagena's natural expansion for some spurious or business reason.
Once again, it has become clear that the motivation of the local Executive is to retain its clientele network, which they applauded for agreeing with Cartagena.
Refusal of a sports investment plan for the municipality
Nor has it been opportune 'La Trinca' to support the Cartagena initiative to include in the next budget projects a multi-annual Sports Investment Plan for the municipality, which includes, among others, the following priority actions:
In addition to promoting improvements in the athletics track, it included the authorization of a fixed and permanent installation for beach volleyball on the coast of Cabo de Palos;
finish the installation of the Mediterranean Urbanization soccer field;
culminate the network of artificial grass soccer fields, or improve the natural grass field in La Asomada.
I despise the Carmen Conde Board of Trustees
On the other hand, the local government has refused to urge the Presidency of the Board of Governors of the Carmen Conde Antonio Oliver Board to urgently convene a Government Board, in order to address and urge the Executive to take measures necessary to alleviate the state of neglect and deterioration of the Board.
It should be remembered that the current presidency is held by the mayor of Cartagena, who does not consider as problematic the vicissitudes that workers must face daily because they do not have air conditioning, suffer broken glass, poor furniture or shortage of staff.
La Trinca denies a children's play area in San Antón
Likewise, the local government has voted in block to prevent the next municipal budget project from including the necessary items to project and undertake an area of children's games on Luis Martínez Laredo street in San Antón.
It is an action of apparent simplicity that would also facilitate the use of an area that is currently underutilized.
Against the institutional recognition of José Casaú
'La Trinca' has rejected the initiative of MC so that a new International Photojournalism Prize, organized by the City Council and annual, and the Historic Photographic Center of the Region (CEHIFORM) take the name of José Casaú, figure highlighted by his Photographic activity in Cartagena during the first decades of the 20th century.
Similarly, they have refused to urge the CARM Governing Council to demand the return of CEHIFORM to the municipality of Cartagena on the occasion of the 10 years of its transfer, transferred to Murcia in the summer of 2010 from Cartagena, where it had its headquarters since its creation in 2001, and it has no prospect of return, like so many other agencies.
'La Trinca' has stated that the Casa del Niño is not in a position to host the transfer of CEHIFORM to Cartagena, recalling MC Deputy Mayor Noelia Arroyo promised the recovery of this property during his time in the regional government, a promise obviously unfulfilled.
They reject the adaptation of the environment of the mill of Monte Sacro
The Government of Cartagena, composed of councilors of the PP, Cs and transfugas, has refused to include in the next municipal budgets "the necessary items to project and undertake the access and adaptation of the environment of the Casa Molino del Monte Sacro".
Jesús Giménez has shown that "for MC Cartagena the recovery of the windmills of the Campo de Cartagena is an essential pillar", therefore, he recalled that "to demonstrate this commitment and with the aim of disseminating and, of course, beautifying on Monte Sacro, we began the recovery of Casa Molino, a work that Antonio García was awarded as manager of Casco Antiguo in December 2017. "
Despite this, and as is customary in the Government of Castejón, the work was delayed for more than a year and it was not until March 1, 2019 when it was inaugurated, although its execution was planned for 2 months, but "Half a year later we have the evidence that they have not done anything for the adaptation of the environment and that this mill that we conceived for the enjoyment of Cartagena and visitors, as well as to divulge part of our identity, is inaccessible, being urgent that the Access".
They deny the support to the BIC of the Salinas de Marchamalo
Through a motion presented by the councilwoman María Dolores Ruiz, the local government has refused to support the initiation as a Property of Cultural Interest (BIC) of the constructions of Salinera Catalana, SA, including the facilities of the merchant, the mill of wind and the natural landscape of the salt flats, in order to preserve and put in historical-environmental and cultural value, that area of La Manga del Mar Menor and Cabo de Palos.
Ruiz recalled that it was MC who asked the General Directorate of Cultural Assets of the CARM for the declaration as BIC of the Salinas de Marchamalo to become a regional tourist reference.
As detailed by the Cartagena councilor, all the legal requirements for the declaration as BIC are fulfilled as it is a natural site, a group of buildings and facilities linked to the ways of life, culture and activities of the Region, adding advantages that this fact would entail as "the need to promote a cultural project in La Manga del Mar Menor, as well as to protect, even more, the natural environment of that space in the Mar Menor."
Despite this, La Trinca has refused to support this initiative.
Blocking to the appointment of Favorite Son of José María Rubio Paredes and edition of an unpublished book about the Cathedral
Likewise, the local government has refused to support the initiative to grant Mr. José María Rubio Paredes the appointment of the city's Favorite Son and that, with the author's permission, the City Council publish the unpublished book of the Cathedral of Cartagena, with in order for Cartagena to access a deeper knowledge of this very important property.
Rubio Paredes, Doctor of Medicine and member of the Royal Academy Alfonso X el Sabio, developed his professional life as a director in the Spanish Company of Penicillin and Antibiotics.
He is a reference in the world of historical research and culture and in 2008 he donated his bibliographic funds to the Municipal Archive of Cartagena.
