The City Council of Cartagena has committed to the Association of Assistance to Refugees, Accem, to maintain the premises of activity that the association has in the city.
The vice mayor and councilor of the area of ​​Social Welfare and Sports, Noelia Arroyo, has held this morning, during the round of contacts with social care entities, a meeting with Mohammed Kebaili, territorial head of Accem in the Region of Murcia, and Bethlehem Valera, attached to territorial coordination.
The representatives of ACCEM have expressed their willingness to guarantee the projects that are carried out in the matter of immigration, refugees and homeless people, doing a more active work in the prevention part of these groups.
According to them, prevention together with the improvement of the quality of life, are pending subjects that want to be addressed and give more importance in this group.
The vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, has guaranteed the joint work of the entity and the City Council of Cartagena and has reached out to ACCEM to help and accompany the association in its work.
