Álvaro Franco Barragán and Lidia Morales Rey are crowned as winners in the men's and women's absolute test of the already traditional summer cross Ascent to the Source of the Toad of El Algar.
More than a thousand runners of all ages gathered in this test of almost 10 kilometers last Saturday, August 31 organized by the Municipal Neighborhood Board of this town along with the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena.
The tests began with the Alevín, Infantil and Cadete children's categories, to which the first deputy mayor and mayor of the Sports Area, Noelia Arroyo, left at 6:30 in the afternoon, after which he gave the awards to the smaller winners, Guillermo Fernández, Salvador Martínez and Jorge García, along with the Councilor for Tourism, Cristina Pérez.
The start of the general test was at 7:00 pm with a route through asphalt and mountains, in which Ramón Martínez, Antonio Lorente, Lola Cegarra and Lola Sánchez completed the first places after the winners of both categories.
