The Civil Protection service of the City Council of Cartagena has partially opened the beach with yellow flag Calnegre beach in Monte Blanco.
Specifically, bathers will be able to use and travel along the stretch of beach that runs between the tip of the Galúa and the curve of the new viewpoint, and enter the sea up to 50 meters from the shore.
The rest of the beach, which goes from the viewpoint to the limit with San Javier, will remain closed, as it will be reserved so that the Navy can carry out rescue operations related to the plane crash last Monday.
From the Civil Protection service, bathers have been asked to respect the marked areas at all times, as it could interfere with rescue operations.
The beach of Calnegre in Monte Blanco is the last stretch of beach in La Manga, belonging to the municipality of Cartagena, which remains with restrictions in the bathroom, since it was open from Thursday with the green flag of Galúa.
For its part in the municipality of San Javier from Banco del Tabal to Lima 5, the beach will remain closed to the bathroom but the transit through the sand will be allowed.
The prohibitions on the beaches of La Manga of both municipalities will thus affect only 500 meters from the beach.
