80,000 NEW PLANTS IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY

On the other hand, since the beginning of the summer and taking advantage of the lower traffic flow due to the holiday period, the brigades and the concessionaire of the Parks and Gardens service of the Department of Infrastructure of the City Council of Cartagena have taken advantage to perform pruning work Palm trees downtown in the Alameda de San Antón, Calle Real, CIM, Paseo del Muelle and Héroes de Cavite.

Among these are about 30,000 produced for the first time in the new municipal nursery of New Cartagena of native species, with which it is tried to achieve greater durability due to the climate and the river shortage of our area, combined with seasonal flowers such as Petunias or tagetes

The replanting will be done in the areas of access to the city such as Bastarreche Square and Trovero Marín Avenue, the Peral Submarine Fountain, Alfonso XIII Promenade, Ripoll Captain and Plaza España, where there will also be activities related to this holiday, as well as in the Paseo del Puerto and Heroes de Cavite.

The planters of Calle del Carmen will also be conditioned, as well as the San Francisco, del Rey, M.ª Cristina, Alicante and some areas of Torres Park.

These actions will be completed by mid-September, before the start of the Carthaginian and Roman acts on the 20th.
