Spain is the second country in the Mediterranean that pollutes the sea most.
Therefore, Corona beer lands in Cartagena with only one objective: to clean the beach of Cala Salitrona from all plastic.
To accomplish this, he wants to mobilize all the volunteers who want to collaborate and join the project.
Corona and the Parley for the Oceans association have a strong commitment to care for the environment, and above all to prevent the contamination of one of the most precious assets we have, the sea.
To do this, they call on the collaboration of the entire population who want to join the movement as volunteers and spokespersons for the cause.
For the cleaning it is only necessary that the volunteers attend with desire and illusion to help the environment, Corona and Parley for the Oceans will take care of everything else and provide them with the necessary material: vests, gloves, bags ... After cleaning, the volunteers they will leave with the satisfaction of having collaborated in keeping the beaches free of plastic and of having contributed their grain of sand being part of the solution of this great problem.
During this summer they have toured the beaches of Valencia, Asturias, Huelva, Zarautz, Marbella, Barcelona, ​​Cantabria, among others and have managed to collect around 1131KG of garbage and plastic.
This cleaning is part of the Protect Paradise campaign, whereby the brewer wants to raise awareness about the plastic pollution of the ocean and contribute to its end with different environmental strategies, including the cleaning of beaches around the world.
In Spain, Corona is committed to cleaning 500,000m2 of coasts throughout these months and now they travel to Cartagena, giving them one more step towards their goal.
