On Tuesday, August 27, the two Britannia and Jewel of the Seas cruises, from the P&O Cruises and Royal Caribbean Celebrity Cruises companies respectively, coincided on their arrival at the Port of Cartagena, giving rise to the landing of almost seven thousand tourists in our city.
The first of them, with 4,400 passengers on board, along with the second, of 2,500, total 6,900 people who will travel our streets today and can visit museums, sites, as well as commercial establishments and restaurants in the Historic District of Cartagena, according to the information provided by the Department of Tourism of the City of Cartagena at the foot of the stairs at the cruise terminal and at the two municipal offices of the City Hall and the San José Gates.
Among the information provided by the staff of the Department of Tourism are maps, routes and brochures.
Cartagena is already one of the main port destinations in the western Mediterranean.
With the visit of these two ships, a month of August closes, in which about 25,000 cruise passengers have been received, which added to the rest of the summer in the months of June and July, leaving a total of 56,000 visitors in Cartagena during the summer.
