The residents of San Ginés celebrated last Sunday, August 25, the day of their patron with activities throughout the day around their commemoration by the Association of Friends of the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara and Hermitages of Monte Miral.
The activities began at 8 in the morning with a route to Mount Miral and its hermitages, followed by another around the medieval monastery where they camped all day long with a large paella and samples of sculpture and painting.
These activities were attended by the Councilors of Culture, David Martínez, along with Mercedes García, from the Social Services area.
As a final touch to the events, which this year celebrated its eighth edition along with the pilgrimage held on Saturday, the traditional Mass in honor of San Ginés took place, which featured the performance of Rondalla de El Algar.
