The Polytechnic University of Cartagena, through its Office of European Projects, has obtained around 5,362,227.75 euros since 2014 to finance European projects under the H2020 program.
The figure is double what was obtained during the validity of the 7th Framework Program, which took place from 2007 to 2013.
Specifically, during the H2020 program, which ends next year, the UPCT has achieved a total of 16 projects and a funding of 5,362,227.75 euros, while during the 7th Framework Program, the University obtained 7 projects and a financing of 2,052,241 euros.
Horizon 2020 is the largest Research and Innovation program in the European Union, which has a budget of almost 80 billion for the 2014-2020 period.
Its main objective is to ensure the global competitiveness of Europe.
This program supports scientific excellence, industrial leadership and solutions to social challenges.
Within the H2020 program, UPCT has developed projects such as Startup Scale Up (contract no. 644023), Tackshs (contract no. 681040), Merlin (contract no. 780460), Unicorn (contract no. 731846), Eu -xcel (contract no. 644801), Naiad (contract no. 730497), Inspiring (contract no. 750611), SuperPest (contract no. 773902), Diverfarming (contract no. 728003), Soildiveragro (no. of contract 817819), MicAct (contract number 641822), Camon (sub-project within the ORGANICITY action contract number 645198), Metro-Haul (contract number 761727) and in the process of negotiation for the firm Value -Rubber, Pharaon and SPACE END.
