On Saturday, August 24, San Ginés procession in Romería through various neighborhoods and districts of the municipality of Cartagena.
Leaving from the Basilica of Charity, dozens of pilgrims accompanied the saint to Mount Miral.
The activities lasted from eight in the morning until late afternoon.
The vice mayor and mayor of the Area of ​​Social Services and Sports, Noelia Arroyo, the councilor of the Area of ​​Culture, Youth and Equality of Cartagena, David Martínez, the mayor delegate of Culture, Carlos Piñana and the councilor of Decentralization and Citizen Participation and mayor delegate of Sports, Diego Ortega accompanied the processionists.
Other members of the Municipal Corporation also participated, such as the spokesman, José López, and the mayor Isabel Garcia and Aranzazú Pérez.
The day began with a mass, where a floral offering was made to the patron of Cartagena and the Salve of the port city was sung.
After leaving the Basilica of Charity, we reached the Parish of San Ginés.
From there he went to La Aparecida, where Manoli Vivancos sang a bolt.
After a stop for lunch at the Hermitage of Roche, the processionists continued their march with San Ginés towards the church of Los Camachos and El Estrecho de San Ginés.
There the longest section of the Pilgrimage took place.
From there, the processionists went up with San Ginés to Mount Miral.
Once there, music and joy could be enjoyed to honor the patron of Cartagena.
