The spokesman of the municipal group of Citizens Cartagena, Manuel Padín, wanted to show his resounding support for the Government Pact reached in June between the Orange, PP and PSOE formation.
"We believe that the signed agreement had and continues to have the strength of a solid majority of 15 councilors, beyond political acronyms, which will be fundamental to the progress of Cartagena," he said.
And, according to Padin, the current Executive is "the only one able to carry out the very important projects that the municipality has on the agenda" and give the local government "the necessary stability for four years to achieve the objectives set."
The spokesman of the orange formation has recalled that in the last elections no formation achieved a large majority to establish itself as spokesman for all Cartagena, which forced negotiations and pacts.
"That's what democracy, negotiation, pact, majorities are about," said Padin, who stressed that his training will respect the pact during the four years of the legislature because "it is the only way for the city to move forward."
