Hard but complete season is being prepared by the athletes of the UCAM Athletics Cartagena, which continue with their preparation for the Spanish Championship of Absolute Outdoor Athletics to be held in La Nucia (Alicante), in its new stadium, which will host the event next August 31 and September 1.
And it is that there are five young people who are still profiling their preparation for the most important competition of Spanish athletics.
On the one hand Sergio Jornet and Pablo Díaz, the international decathletes who have been able to perform a "stage" in Tenerife from August 11 to 17, with a group of athletes selected from the Royal Spanish Federation in combined tests.
In addition the sprinters Laura Rodríguez (in 400 meters) and the captain of the departmental team Blanca Peñuelas (in 100 meters) continue their training and preparation for the appointment of Alicante.
Finally there is Rubén Salinas (200 meters) that completes the list of athletes of the UCAM Athletics Cartagena that will attend the National event.
Coach Patricia Paz is watching all the movements and adapting the conditions of preparation to these formidable athletes who will represent Cartagena and the Region in the National Absolute.
