The effects of the last windstorm lived earlier this week on the coast of Cartagena, with the consequent arrival of algae, has already been alleviated thanks to the work of the operators responsible for cleaning the beaches, reinforced from the brigades of the Department of Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena and the companies hired by it, as well as the company TRAGSA, hired by the Autonomous Community.
This means about 115 people in charge of cleaning and maintaining the beaches of the Mar Menor, Cabo de Palos and La Manga, with the figure of around 700 tons of algae removed so far this summer.
The results are already seen in the Levante Beach in Cabo de Palos, where barely any remains of algae are perceived, and in the beaches of Los Urrutias, Estrella de Mar, Punta Brava, where cleaning tasks continue, as they are He has been doing these months, in charge of nearly fifty operators.
These works will continue the rest of the summer along the coast of Cartagena, until September 30, in morning, afternoon and night shifts depending on the area, to avoid, as far as possible, inconvenience to the neighbors .
