The neighbors of the Torre de Nicolás Pérez, in the Cartagena deputation of Perín, celebrate their patron celebrations in honor of San Nicolás.
A weekend in which there will be dances, a meeting of classic vehicles and, of course, an almond launch contest.
A program organized by the Festival Committee of the Association of Neighbors of the town of Cartagena, with the collaboration of the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena and the Municipal Neighborhood Board of Perín.
This Friday, August 16, the festivities will open with the Grand Dance enlivened by the group 'Nerea', at 10:30 p.m., followed by a raffle for the members present.
As a novelty, this year, the first prize will be given to the partner '+ Young', whose objective is that young people are encouraged to participate in this Neighborhood Association and in the events that take place.
For Saturday, August 17, fans of the motor world have an appointment from 10 in the morning at the Grand Meeting of Classic Vehicles, trucks, cars and motorcycles, manufactured at most in 1980. Awards will be given to older in each modality and the oldest driver of the participants.
In addition, the traditional 'caldero torreño' and soft drinks will be offered to the attendees.
At 12 o'clock, it is the turn of the III Almond Launch Contest at the Capazo, with prizes for the winners in the different categories.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the patron of the town, San Nicolás, first with the transfer at 19 hours, from its enclave in the Chapel of the 'Casas del Lorenchan' to the Festero Venue of 'La Vieja Hacienda', for the celebration, at 7.30 pm, from the Holy Mass, which will feature the Choir of 'La Concepción de Cartagena', and then departure in procession at the foot of the Morra del Puntal.
For the little ones, at 9:30 p.m., children's inflatables will be installed and popcorn and various sweets and jelly beans will be distributed.
And at 10:30 pm, the Grand Dance will be entertained by the group 'Minerva' and the tasting of lean with tomato and pepper in Torreño style, as well as a raffle and family lottery for attendees.
The party will continue until Sunday, August 18, at dawn, with the farewell and end of parties.
