The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has called the residents of Los Urrutias, Punta Brava El Carmolí and Los Nietos to an assembly, which will be held on August 22 at 12.00 in the social premises of Los Urrutias, to address The problem in the area.
After agreeing with the neighbors themselves, participation in said assembly of the Autonomous Community and the Government Delegation has also been required, so that all the administrations involved can hear first hand the neighborhood claims.
This decision has been taken before the numerous requests of the neighbors who wanted to intervene in the municipal plenary session and since this formula for participation in the Plenary Organic Regulation is not included.
Before the opposition of the Vox Municipal Group to hold the Plenary outside the City Hall, considering that it increases the cost that would be the municipal coffers, and the doubts in this regard that have also raised both United We and Citizen Movement, the Government team local requested a report from the Plenary Secretariat to clarify all these issues.
As stated in this report, although there was a unanimous consensus when this possibility was raised in the previous municipal plenary on July 26, after the doubts raised by the opposition, the secretary considers that there is no force majeure for change the normal location of the Plenary, as it is regulated in article 43 of the Plenary Organic Regulations, so that the extraordinary Plenary will be held on the 22nd at 9.00 in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall and, subsequently, The government team will appear before the neighbors in an assembly that will take place in the social premises of Los Urrutias and in which the neighbors may participate without the restrictions imposed by the Plenary Regulations.
With this formula, the government team intends to give voice to all the residents of the area, whether or not they are associated with the entities registered in the municipal registry of associations.
