The Councilor of the Tourism area, Manuel Padín, and the delegate mayor, Cristina Pérez, visited on Wednesday the stand that has installed the Department of Tourism of the City of Hellin in the port of Cartagena to promote the charms of the town of La Mancha and narrow ties with the port city.
In fact, before the visit, the Councilor for Tourism of Hellín, María Jesús López, has held a meeting with the two municipal councilors in the Administrative Building to propose various tourist projects that they want to develop in the town of Albacete and that go through promoting visits to the archaeological sites of both cities.
The mayor of Tourism of Hellín said that although its population has no sea, "the port of Cartagena serves as an entrance for tourists who can come to know us."
"Our sea is Cartagena," the councilor insisted.
Therefore, María Jesús López has opted to strengthen relations in the field of tourism promotion between the port city and Hellín.
For his part, Manuel Padín has affirmed that “any synergy that can be put in place to boost tourism in the city is always welcome†and has called on the Tourist Council of Hellín to hold new conversations in this regard.
The mayor of the locality of La Mancha, who has delivered a bag of typical products from Hellín to Cartageneros, in addition to a painting by the artist of the said town, María Isabel González, has invited them to visit Hellín to get a closer look at the tourist attractions, while advancing conversations with Renfe to start railway lines that take passengers to the Albacete population.
