Isabel García: "We hope that this does not mean another delay in preparing the budgets for 2019"

Last Friday, the local Government Board formalized the appointment of the new director of the Budget Economic Office of the City Council of Cartagena for the retirement of the previous responsible.

Given this situation, he has criticized that "the solution found by the Councilor for Personnel, Esperanza Nieto, of the PP, has been to undress the Tax Management service, which comes from the new director of the Budget Office, to dress another."

"In the case of Nieto it is a return to what is already known, to the old practices of the PP, to the nepotism of the Government of Barreiro which Nieto was part of during two legislatures as responsible, that is, Human Resources", has revealed the mayor of MC.

In this context, Isabel García has summed up that "in the first place, the mayor signs a substitution decree whose legality she doubts until the always willing director of the Municipal Legal Counsel and, afterwards, they take off the agenda of the last Governing Board , a proposal for deferred appointment to which Mr. Pagán, whose lassitude is known in reports of compromised matters, has not been able to give his approval for more pressures that we know he has received. "

To conclude, García has wished that "this does not suppose another delay to elaborate the budgets of 2019, having already lacked the Government to its commitment to present a draft of budgets before the month of August, as well as that it is not an excuse for those of 2020 take the Plenary before the end of the year, or negatively influence the development of ordinances by 2020.
