On the occasion of International Youth Day, on August 12, the Councilor for Tourism and second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín, visited this Monday, together with the Minister of Tourism and Youth, Cristina Sánchez, the summer camp 'Arbolar Beach Rock 'of Los Urrutias, in which about 70 young people from twelve autonomous communities and four foreign countries (Germany, Slovakia, United Kingdom and Russia) participate.
During the visit, which was also attended by the director general of Youth, Fran Sánchez, both the councilor and the counselor could see first hand the training offered in this camp, which aims to offer young people the opportunity to enjoy of musical and nautical activities in the waters of the Mar Menor, sailing on the boats that the facility has, as well as practicing windsurfing, paddle surfing and other water sports.
In fact, the musical part is mainly focused on teaching and perfecting the different instruments that make up a pop or rock band.
In this way, young people with musical concerns can choose between the electric guitar, bass, keyboards, drums or voice.
In the same way, workshops of composition, set design, interpretation are carried out and different groups are formed that exhibit their work in a great final concert.
The visit had an impromptu performance in which both the counselor and the councilor and the general director participated.
