Firefighters and Local Police of Cartagena have intervened at mid-morning on Tuesday, August 13 in the removal of fallen rubble from the ledge of a building on Bodegones Street, in the old town.
After the heavy rain fell on 12.00 hours, the cornice pieces were precipitated to the ground, so the area has been cordoned off to prevent pedestrians and prevent incidents in the event that rubble continues to fall.
Once proven the origin of them and the state of the cornice, they have been removed and preventive fences have been placed urging pedestrians to choose other passing streets, waiting for urban planning technicians to review the state of the building.
