Dressed with their medals, some looked up to six, so the young athletes of the Cartagonova Swimming Club who have won several victories this year at the different venues where the Spanish Championship has been held have arrived on Tuesday morning Swimming, in the categories Alevín, Infantil, Junior y Absoluta.
Paula, Marce, Pedro and Diana, accompanied by the technical director of the Club, Francisco Javier Aledo, were received by the vice mayor and councilor of the Sports Area of ​​the City of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, who has recognized 'the great work they have done' and highlighting in them the values ​​that have made them champions, such as 'constancy, effort and perseverance, which will accompany them throughout their lives'.
The reception, in which gifts have been exchanged, has also been attended by the mayor of the municipal government Juan Pedro Torralba and Irene Ruiz, as well as relatives of the athletes.
The team of the Cartagonova Swimming Club is made up of 60 swimmers, between 12 and 18 years old, who train around 5 hours a day from Monday to Saturday and also on Sundays.
This year they have brought home 16 medals, a figure higher than last year, in which they achieved 11.
