The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, together with the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, held a meeting this Friday with the president of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Region, Leandro Sánchez, to put on the table all those issues that Cartageneros are more concerned, of which the federation is a spokesperson.
In this first institutional meeting between neighbors and municipal government, two issues were clearly highlighted, as the mayor has pointed out, the General Urban Planning Plan, where “Cartagena is proving to be a pioneer by submitting the Plan's progress document to a process of citizen participation that is the most ambitious of the entire Region ”, and the arrival of the AVE.
In this last respect, Castejón said that "neighbors and government talk about the same thing, that it has to be buried, not to divide neighborhoods and to communicate with the Logistics Activities Zone, the ZAL."
Along these lines, Leandro Sánchez has recalled other “very important, which will have great importance in the life of the residents of Cartagena in the next four years”.
Thus, in addition to the PGOU and railway infrastructure, Sánchez highlighted the situation of the Mar Menor, pollution problems, the unlocking of the Citizen Participation Regulations and the Rambla Plan.
