The senator of the Popular Party for the Region of Murcia, Domingo Segado, has registered a question in the Upper House in which he requests information from the Government of Spain on the provision of the city of Cartagena of the plot where the City is to be built of Justice, currently occupied by the Navy's Subsistence Factory.
Domingo Segado recalls that "almost eight months have elapsed since the Ministry of Justice approved the land occupied by the current units of the Navy without having to date of any progress on the transfer of the land to the Cartagena council ".
The senator of the Popular Party considers that "the construction of the City of Justice is a project that can not wait any longer since professionals are working in precarious conditions and the municipality needs space to house new courts of which it suffers."
The representative of the Region of Murcia in the Upper House recalls that the Ministry of Justice considered the "most suitable" space for the plot located on Queen Victoria Avenue in Cartagena "because of its location in the heart of the city and its extension already which has the 25,000 square meters claimed by the Superior Court of Justice of Murcia ".
Domingo Segado laments that "the situation of political blockade to which Pedro Sánchez and the PSOE are condemning Spain delay projects that are vital for Cartagena."
In addition, he believes that the transfer of the plot from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Justice should be done "free of charge and that the Cartagena do not have to pay, through the municipality of Cartagena, a necessary and essential infrastructure to have a Justice of quality".
The professional groups of the judicial field of the municipality have supported this proposal of location as the most suitable to meet all the judicial services and dependencies, currently dispersed in different buildings and premises.
