Quarries are celebrating these days their patron celebrations in honor of the Virgen de la Soledad with a multitude of musical performances, gastronomic tastings, races and sports competitions, children's activities, mass and procession in honor of the patron.
The parties are organized by the Association of Neighbors of Quarries in collaboration with the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
These, which began on July 26 with the performance of 'Roy Rabbit', will run until August 15.
From August 9 to 15, numerous activities have been scheduled such as the musical performance of the 'Gemini Duo', the Day of the Third Age, children's games, a large moraga of sardines, the Costume Party with snack included, the song of the Hail at the door of the Church or the procession of the Virgen de la Soledad, accompanied by bugles and drums.
Today, August 9, the activities scheduled for this day are children's games, Parcheesi and Domino Championships, the futsal match of the old glories and the musical performance of the 'Gemini Duo'.
Saturday, August 10 is the Day of the Third Age and during the whole day there will be many activities such as tasting a breakfast, organized by the Association of Neighbors, a meal or the musical performance of the 'Duo Minerva'.
Already on Sunday, starting at 6:30 p.m., the children's tape race will take place.
In addition, the Cartagena group 'Los Vecinos del 4º' will perform and there will be a large moraga of sardines.
The Councilor for Celebrations of the City Council of Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba, will attend these events at the Local Social.
On Monday, August 12, the key activity is the Costume Party with snack included.
The next day, there will be children's games, deserving it and inflatable mattresses will be installed.
Already in the final stretch of the celebrations, on Wednesday, August 14, the Hail will be sung to the patron on the eve of her day, at the door of the Church, at midnight.
At 23 hours, the group 'Nena Rose' will perform.
On Tuesday, August 15, there will be rocket fire and Diana Floreada, starting at 8 in the morning.
In the afternoon, at 8 pm, the Solemn Mass will be celebrated in the parish and the procession in honor of the patron saint of Quarries.
The end of parties will come at night, with the performance of the 'Gemini Trio', at 23 hours.
