The Summer Film Series organized every year by the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero de Castro', under the title ¿Cazatesoros or archaeologists ?, projected this Thursday, August 8, the movie 'Murder in Mesopotamia' (2002).
The film can be seen from 9:45 p.m., in the museum gardens, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
'Murder in Mesopotamia' tells how by a series of coincidences, Detective Poirot meets with his old friend Captain Hastings at the headquarters of an archaeological excavation in the desert of Iraq, where an Arab pawn has appeared strangled.
All who work there are friends or colleagues of the project manager, Dr. Leodner, a famous American archaeologist.
Based on the homonymous work of British writer Agatha Christie, published in 1936, Tom Clegg ('The enemy of Sharpe') directs this film about the murder of a man in an archeological excavation in Mesopotamia.
Clegg has a large and well-known cast headed by David Suchet ('A perfect crime', 'Ratonpolis'), Hugh Fraser (' Game of Patriots', 'The artist's contract'), Ron Berglas ('The Immortals',' A woman named Golda ') and Barbara Barnes (' Dirty business', 'Roujin Z'), among others.
