The Parks and Gardens brigades of the Department of Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena are doing this summer cleaning pruning work of about a thousand copies of date palm and whasingtonia scattered throughout the downtown area.
The tasks, which are carried out in the summer season taking advantage of the lower traffic influx because it is a holiday season, began in the Alameda de San Antón, continuing along Calle Real, the CIM, the Paseo del Muelle and Héroes de Cavite, where they are currently The municipal operators are working, so that the palm trees are ready for September, before the celebration of the Fiestas de Carthagineses y Romanos.
In addition to the actions carried out in the city, the Department of Infrastructure is also developing maintenance and cleaning of gardens in the beach areas of the Cartagena coast, mainly in Isla Plana and Los Urrutias.
