The deputation of Perín is celebrating its popular festivities in honor of the Virgen de la Piedad with more than two weeks of activities, including live music, popular games and sports championships, Foam Party, the VII Donkey Trail Race, gastronomic tastings And many surprises.
Thus, the parties, organized by the Association of Neighbors, the Municipal Neighborhood Board of Perín and the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena, will run until Sunday, August 18.
They began this Friday, August 2 with the opening of the raffle and the lighting of the lights, after which there was a dance enlivened by the duo 'Minerva'.
This year the proclamation was made by the councilor of the area of ​​Security, Public Roads and Celebrations and councilor for Urban Services and Projects, Juan Pedro Torralba.
The opening ceremony was attended by the second deputy mayor, Manuel Padín.
After this, the neighbors could taste dishes of michirones.
During this past weekend numerous activities were scheduled such as the second edition of the Grand Festival 'Burrock', the performance of the duo 'Nácar', Children's Day and the tasting of a great paella.
Today, Monday, August 5, there will be Summer Cinema with popcorn, by the Los Luceros Youth Association.
Another of the main scheduled activities will take place the next day with the theatrical performance of the play 'The Table of the Thinking Minds' and the traditional crumb tasting.
Wednesday is the Coexistence Day of the La Albaida Women's Association and will be performed by the international artist Karen Noble and on Thursday, August 8, the Algameca company will perform the theater play 'What the flight took' at the Social Local.
On Friday, August 9, there will be a dance, organized by the Peñas Blancas Seniors Club, with the duo 'Azabache' and the grandfather and grandmother of Perín 2019 will be chosen.
On Saturday, August 10, the traditional parade of floats will be held through the streets of Perín with the XXII Ascent of the Donkey to the Bell Tower.
At the end of the parade, there will be fireworks castle and the Grand Dance with the musical performance of 'Dueto'.
The next day, at 10 pm, singer Pedro 'el Flamenquito' will perform.
From Monday 12 to Wednesday, August 14, the activities include the Great Human Parcheesi, the Foam Party, the dance with the duo 'Minerva', the Chinitos Open, the Great Chocolate with churros and the discomóvil in the Campo de Football.
Thursday is the Procession of the Virgen de la Piedad, the Holy Mass - accompanied by the rondalla 'The Aqueduct' - and the Diana Floreada and the rocket fire.

Sunday, August 18 is the end of parties with the local Caliche run, the dance with the set 'Watercolor', the trophy delivery and the final final strike.
