The Department of Infrastructure has intensified in recent weeks the maintenance and cleaning work on Isla Plana and La Azohía to ensure the best state of the streets and beaches in this area of ​​the Cartagena coast.
The councilor, María Casajús, explained that “the reorganization of the brigades and the companies hired by the City Council has allowed a quick response to the residents of Isla Plana and La Azohía.
Specifically, 15 operators have carried out lighting improvements, repainting of street furniture, maintenance of gardens and playgrounds. â€
"These works", as explained by the councilor, "respond to the calendar of actions being carried out by the Department on all beaches of the municipality to ensure the cleanliness and conservation of our coastline."
In the surroundings of the promenade, the damage of the reservoir of the Baths of La Marrana produced by vandalism has been fixed.
In addition, the Caletón beach has been conditioned with the withdrawal of ramblizo and the beach access walkway has been varnished and the railings, wastebaskets and benches of the promenade have been repainted.
Regarding the cleaning work, the Councilor for Infrastructure has explained that the maintenance of gardens and the pruning of palm trees have increased both in Isla Plana and La Azohía, as well as in the pedestrian paths of San Ginés beach.
In addition, he recalled that after the strong winds of recent days, operators have carried out the work of algae removal on the beaches of La Azohía and Isla Plana.
