From August 1 to 7, the Don Bosco Federation of the Region of Murcia, an entity linked to Salesianos, and the ANIMA Sociocultural Association, carry out the activities of the fifth edition of the urban camp.
In this edition 115 boys and girls participate, almost all derived by Social Services of the City Council of Cartagena and other social entities, in intense days, from 10 in the morning to 7 in the afternoon.
Highlight that this activity is organized and executed by volunteers.
About 30 young volunteers will be responsible for transmitting during these days the values ​​proposed in this edition of the Urban Camp, which are focused on the protection of the environment and the acquisition of personal skills for living together, solidarity and tolerance.
Every morning, Salesianos Cartagena opens its doors to host this activity, in which its recipients have breakfast, lunch, eat and snack together.
They carry out workshops, games, group dynamics, activities with families - on day 4 and 7 in the afternoon - and a visit to the water park - on Monday 5 -.
The cost for families is symbolic: 7 euros.
So that the economic reason is not a condition for participating in the urban camp, the coordinating team has been promoting volunteer training and fundraising throughout the year through solidarity activities.
It is important the financial contribution of many people, especially from the large educational community of Salesianos Cartagena and other entities such as Carrefour (Mediterranean Space), Ñam Ñam, Educo, Kenya Travel, CHL, Ricardo Fuentes e Hijos, Ekisol Maristas Cartagena and the City Council itself from Cartagena.
