The Cabo de Pop Festival returns for the third consecutive year to the beaches of Cabo de Palos, on August 16 and 17, with a large program that aims to boost culture, sport and family leisure activities in this natural environment Unique of the Mediterranean.
The event is organized by the Cartagena promoter PlanOut, and has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and Estrella Levante.
The details of the event and details of the program have been presented today, July 31, at the Wall of Salt, in Cabo de Palos, the mayor of Youth of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, together with the directors of the promoter PlanOut , Sergio Valero and José Luis Ruiz and the communication manager of Estrella Levante, Yayo Delgado.
The Cabo de Pop Festival 2019, which will be held in different areas of the town of Cabo de Palos, has scheduled a series of activities including musical performances, baptism diving, paddlesurfing, snorkeling, sailing trips , children's activities, foodtrucks, craft markets and cleaning of the beaches in the area.
The mayor of Youth, David Martínez, has highlighted within the musical performances "'Future Terror' - an Alicante group of punk aesthetics but with pop songs -, 'Favx' - the indie-rock locals -, 'Los Manises' - a duo that mixes African rhythms with experimental music and that have performed in the United States and Canada - or the singer of Beniel, but of Ukrainian nationality, 'Yana Zafiro'. "
In addition, he said that these festivals must "bet on women's groups to comply with the principle of Equality" as the performances of 'Wonder' and 'Pájara Rey'.
This event, which is organized by the Cartagena promoter PlanOut, directed by Sergio González Valero and José Luis Ruiz Navarro, will have the collaboration of several companies including Estrella de Levante, the Bonobo La Manga beach bar, the Trips club, El Faro beach bar, Isla Hormigas Diving Club, Dacar or Arbolar Sailing School, among others.

The musical performances have free admission and a symbolic price has been established for sports and leisure activities, guaranteeing everyone's access.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES
Music
During the days of celebration of the festival, August 16 and 17, various musical performances will take place in the esplanade of the port of Cabo de Palos and in the parking area attached to the lighthouse.
The line-up of the musical groups that will perform in this first round of confirmations is formed by bands of nationally recognized prestige, emerging indie, pop and rock groups from the Region of Murcia and sessions of well-known DJs.

The schedules of the concerts are Friday, August 16, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday, August 17, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Also, that same Saturday, at the Trips nightclub, when the concerts of that day are over, there will be a post party with DJs Jeff Mental and Ángel Speak.
Sport activities
With the objective of making known in full what the natural enclave of Cabo de Palos offers and offering healthy actions aimed at all types of public, especially young people, sports activities will be promoted at popular prices giving special prominence, for the place that we find ourselves in water and beach sports: kayabuceo, paddlesurf, sailing photography, diving baptism, snorkeling, visits to the lighthouse, children's activities and sailing.
The different activities, which will take place between Friday and Saturday at Levante Beach, in the Port and at the Cabo de Palos Lighthouse, will take place from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Restoration and craft market area
To complete the program of activities of Cabo de Pop 2019, there will be an area dedicated to restoration in which various foodtrucks will offer a varied gastronomic offer to those attending the event.
In addition, a market will be located in the same area in which a sample of different artisanal products from the Region of Murcia will be exhibited.
Environment
The organizer of the festival, Sergio Valero, explained as a novelty this year "biodegradable glasses will be used and two meetings will be held to collect waste from the beaches in the area, a week before and a week after the festival."
