The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, held a meeting with neighbors and owners affected by the Rambla Plan on Tuesday, July 30, and has done so accompanied by Urban Planning technicians to respond to their main demand, information about the project and how it will affect them, solving their technical questions mainly.
'The misinformation generates chaos and frustration away from reality,' said the mayor, 'so, with this meeting, we are exchanging and collecting information, we also want to know more about the situation of these neighbors, to solve the case doubts by case'.
In addition to the lack of information, the Urban Planning member of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Comarca, Aurelio Valverde, pointed out before the meeting another of his claims, 'that the City Council side with the neighbors at the time of the processing and defense of their interests against the majority owner, Tomás Olivo '.
Castejón responded to this by asking attendees for peace of mind, "as a public administration we will mediate so that everything goes well, working with all legal guarantees."
Remember that the reactivation of the Rambla Plan will involve the creation of an urban expansion zone of around 1,700 homes on the west bank of the Rambla de Benipila.
