The vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, asked on Monday July 29 to the regional president, Fernando López Miras, a meeting with the new Government of Cartagena to address the most urgent problems of the municipality, especially those that have to do with the recovery of the Mar Menor and the improvement of public health in the municipality.
Arroyo, who has represented the City Council this morning in the inauguration of López Miras in the palace of San Esteban, has congratulated the president of the new Regional Executive and has agreed with him that they will begin working on new solutions to these needs as soon as The Government is constituted.
The vice mayor said that the constitution of the new Government benefits the entire Community, but "especially Cartagena because many of the problems and opportunities of the municipality need the decisions, momentum or participation of the regional government."
Among those opportunities, Arroyo has highlighted the commitment already announced by the members of the Government to move to Cartagena the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism in this new legislature.
