In this line, the association promoting this initiative emphasizes that “it is a project that should not be extended in time, but must be materialized already, since it is necessary that the presence of this memorial reminds society that, thanks to the advances Scientists who have been producing up to the present, the quality and life expectancy of people living with HIV is similar to that of the general population and that both prevention and testing are essential to detect as soon as possible the infection, in order to stop the development of opportunistic diseases, in addition to the fact that late diagnoses remain one of the main causes of HIV transmission ”.

Additionally, David Lorca trusts that “the creation of this monument will allow the hundreds of people living with HIV in this municipality, but also the rest of the population in general, to know about the existence of Vihsibles as a support and orientation tool for who have received this diagnosis. ”

Finally, the association recalled that "HIV does not understand political color, economic, social or cultural level, nor religious belief, race, sexual orientation, ... that is, that anyone can be living with the virus."
