This morning, the councilors of MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez and Isabel García, attended, on the Campus of the Wall of the Sea, the day of dissemination of partial results (January-June) of the Chair of Municipal Infrastructure (Cartagena City Council - UPCT).

It should be remembered that the Infrastructure Chair has its origin in the initiative of the Cartagener Mayor's Office of José López, and on December 21, 2015, a working chair between the City Council and UPCT was signed to coordinate research lines to improve and optimize essential municipal services for the citizenship.

The spokesman of the municipal group MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez, recalled that the implementation of these chairs is one of the collaborative measures promoted by MC to work jointly with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, as well as to favor its activity.

Among them are the exemption in the payment of the IBI, the assignment of the Antigones barracks, the creation of the Chair of the Environment, the revival of the Tomás Ferro Foundation or the collaboration with the UPCT Racing Team.

Giménez has valued the disinterest of the current Government, pointing out that hiding the act on the agenda "have limited the projection of the magnificent work of researchers and technicians at UPCT in matters such as renewable energy, Smart City, soil regeneration or mobility, work that once more we applaud from MC. "

The mayor has added that he hopes that "it is not a declaration of intentions" and that "the relationship of knowledge exchange and mutual assistance that began with José López de mayor is maintained, because today they have not wanted even the photo".
