The local government board, meeting Thursday under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has given the green light to a modification of the budget extended for 2018, to allocate the amount of 17,500 euros to sporting events.
In addition, another budgetary modification for the promotion of sport in the Altitudes-Vista Alegre deputation has also been approved, for the contribution of 5,000 euros made by the Repsol company.
New governing bodies
With regard to the Human Resources area, the government board has approved two proposals from the mayor on the creation and appointment of two governing bodies, general director of Public and Internal Employment, which falls to José Serrano, and general director of Projects Strategic Historical-Artistic Heritage and Culture, in Damián Pérez Olmos.
In both cases, they are officials of the city council of Cartagena, so that they will not entail an extra expense for the municipal coffers, and with years of experience in management positions.
In the case of the person in charge of Public Employment, he will have the task of continuing with the actions that are being carried out in the matter of Personnel in the town hall.
Recall the selective processes of employment consolidation (151 places), the incorporation of 40 new agents to the Local Police or the 188 internal promotion positions for Administrative, still pending call.
For its part, the new director general of Historic-Artistic Heritage will work on large-scale projects such as the Amphitheater.
