The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, met this morning with the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, among which was its president, Miguel Martínez, to analyze the main lines for the development of the municipality.

The business representatives and municipal authorities have agreed to highlight the importance of the development of the General Urban Planning Plan, as well as the arrival of the AVE and the development of the ZAL.

The mayor Ana Belén Castejón, has revealed the predisposition of the municipal government so that all the requests raised by the entrepreneurs are a reality, "since all of them were already planned by this government."

For his part, Miguel Martínez has shown his "satisfaction" for the development of this meeting.

Martínez, who has assessed the government pact for stability very positively for the business sector of the municipality, said it was essential to carry out the General Urban Planning Plan, "it is essential that you see the light in this legislature", in addition to other issues with the ZAL or the arrival “not only of the AVE, which is important, but also of the electrified railroad for the vertebration of the region of Murcia and the municipality of Cartagena, and that there is a commuter commuter network”.

Finally, the president of the Chamber of Commerce recalled the importance of continuing to work to advance in the tourism sector, both with the location of the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism in the city and with specific actions on lines that are already underway , such as the opening to the sea or the promotion of the old town and its heritage.

"And all this without forgetting the judicial infrastructures, in which we must also continue moving forward."
