Agents of Local Police and Firefighters of Cartagena participated this Friday, July 19, from 11 am to 1 pm, in a visit organized by the Association Smiles to the kids hospitalized in the Santa Lucía General University Hospital, a meeting that was attended by members of the Armed Forces.
The objective of this visit is to start a smile for the little ones during their stay in the hospital center.
For this, the agents explained how their work is and showed them the vehicles they use for it, in addition to distributing details among the kids, such as toys, school supplies or cut-outs of police cars, ambulances or Civil Guard.
The youngest knew the work and got on the vehicles of the Local Police, Civil Guard, National Police, Fire, Civil Protection, Environmental Agents and Forest Fire, Cartagena Port Police, Navy, Land Army and Civil Guards and National Police retired.
ASSOCIATION BLUE SMILES, GREEN SMILES AND ORANGE SMILES
The Association Sonrisas Azules, Sonrisas Verdes and Sonrisas Naranjas was constituted in Madrid on June 10, 2014, developing since then a project dedicated to the care and visit of sick children, in collaboration with the State Security Forces and Bodies, Armed Forces and Emergencies.
The objective of the project, as they define, lies fundamentally in the principle of "providing joy, well-being and comfort to children who are ill, anywhere in Spain and the world to make this situation easier to cope with, both in hospitals , centers, shelters ".
