The municipal government will open next week a working table with the innkeepers of Cartagena to discuss the celebration of leisure activities on the street and to incorporate their contributions to the new ordinance of noise that will be developed to combine the leisure needs of the city and the hospitality with the right to rest of the neighbors.
The tourist take-off, the abundant leisure offer and the rebound of the hospitality activity in the center of the city force to elaborate a new regulatory framework that makes compatible the neighborhood coexistence with the economic activities that are fundamental for the employment and development of Cartagena .
For this reason, the municipal government has already opened a dialogue with the residents of the center to which it wants to incorporate the representatives of the hospitality sector to enhance an exhaustive study of the calendar of events in Cartagena, its regularization and incorporation of technological systems to make compatible all the interests, according to the Councilor for the Environment, Cristina Mora.
Mora states that all tourist cities share this debate, the solutions are complex and it is difficult to fully satisfy everyone, but our obligation is to try to find agreements that protect the rights of the majority and that make Cartagena a tourist municipality where you can live and enjoy leisure.
