The tourism sector has been the protagonist in the meeting held this Friday by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, accompanied by the deputy mayor, Noelia Arroyo, with the president of the Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena and District, Pedro Pablo Hernández.
A 'very important' meeting in which, as Castejón pointed out, 'we have reviewed all the strategic pillars on which the government actions of the next four years will be based and be able to say in this legislature that we consecrated ourselves as a tourist reference of first level'.
In this sense, the mayor has announced that starting in September a round of specific meetings by sectors to determine specific actions will begin, as is the case of the Strategic Tourism Plan, on which the president of COEC has expressed the 'disposition of the confederation to collaborate with the City Council 'as well as the' need to elaborate a strategic plan led by the mayor's office ', especially now that the possibility of the Tourism Ministry having its headquarters in Cartagena is being considered.
Other sectors that have come up during the meeting held in the office of Mayor in the Consistorial Palace, have been those related to the sectors of the hotel and trade, the field of infrastructure and urban planning, mainly the progress for the arrival of the AVE, the Mar Menor and the PGOU
