The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation NUDILLO, an investigation aimed at clarifying the theft with violence committed in an address of Los Nietos-Cartagena, whose inhabitant was bound and beaten, which has resulted in the arrest of three experienced delinquents as alleged perpetrators of robbery with violence and intimidation, injuries and threats.
The investigation began last June, when a citizen denounced the assault on his home a house used as a holiday residence, located in Los Nietos-Cartagena by several individuals who kept him handcuffed and hooded while they demanded jewelry and money .
The victim reported that around midnight, when he was alone in the building, they knocked on the door and opened it.
At that time, several men rushed on him and hit him in the face, so he was stunned on the ground.
Then they tied him to a chair and covered his head while insisting that he give them any valuable item or money he had in the house.
While the assault lasted, and while they searched the rooms, he was assaulted and threatened saying that they were armed with a knife and a gun.
Finally, after giving them a bank card, from which they demanded the password, they stole several small appliances and left on board the vehicle that the resident of the house had parked nearby.
The victim had to receive medical assistance due to the physical aggression and the state of anxiety generated after the violent assault.
Specialists in Judicial Police of the Civil Guard gathered the necessary information and indications in the criminal scene, as well as of different banking entities and found out that they had tried to extract money in an ATM of the zone, without success.
Simultaneously, the investigators learned that hours after the theft, the suspects had been involved in a traffic accident.
After colliding with another user, they fled, although the driver of the accident vehicle was able to register the license plate.
This casual circumstance, as well as citizen collaboration, allowed the researchers to identify one of the occupants and recover the vehicle, the day after its theft, in a neighborhood of Cartagena.
Recently, after numerous inquiries, the Civil Guard has located and detained three male individuals, neighbors of Los Nietos-Cartagena, aged 21, 22 and 42;
and of Spanish nationality to whom the alleged authorship of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, injuries and threats is attributed.
These are three experienced criminals, with a bulky criminal record for crimes against property, some similar to the enlightened one.
Those arrested, the effects recovered and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Cartagena, whose owner has ordered his entry into prison.
