"In twenty-four years, PP and PSOE did not face this situation, so our concern is more than justified, especially when Castejón boycotted the reforestation programs after his arrival at City Hall," continued the councilor of MC.

Giménez reminded the local executive that "this revengeful desire against MC led them to stop watering the reforested spaces by initiative or municipal collaboration, perhaps worried that each tree was born a voter from Cartagena."

Immediately afterwards, he lamented that, since the end of 2017, "when the then PSOE decided to govern alone," one of the "star" measures was "to stop watering the reforested areas, such as the hill of the Moors or La Aljorra. of this, we lived fruitful months, with works in the Tentegorra Canal promenade, the recovery of the pine forest of the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood, the Cabezo Ventura or what was done in La Vaguada, actions that only required continuity ".

Subsequently, the MC councilor noted that "since November 2017 we had to wait until June 2018 for a new meeting of the Reforestation Board, and if it was done it was thanks to the pressure exerted by our Group, claiming to the mayor to report on the planned actions of the Bureau and demanding that the boycott they had been making cease, since that meeting has already passed more than a year, lost time, as in the rest of municipal management.

"If the damages have not been greater", added Giménez, "it is due to the magnificent work done by associations such as CRECT, Arba Cartagena or ANSE, who have tried to compensate for the absence of institutional support, which disappeared at the same time as the PSOE violated the governance pact with MC ".

Then, the deputy spokesman of MC has encouraged the council responsible for the area of ​​Infrastructure, Services and Litoral, Maria Casajus (PP), to demonstrate "if it is true their intention to enhance policies to mitigate climate change. This predisposition with facts, giving continuity to the Plan of recovery of the vegetal cover that Cartagena needs ".

"You have it in our government program, you just have to get in. If you do not push it, it will be another evidence that yours is a pact against Cartagena and the Cartagena people."
