For 25 years, La Mar de Músicas has produced and guarded the objects that today make up a retrospective exhibition that collects everyday materials and unique images;

merchandising and graphics;

trophies, cups, watches and posters.

Since July 11, the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center of Cartagena presents a compact and chronological selection of this imaginary that talks about the music and sounds that have passed through the stages of La Mar de Músicas.

Beginning with the poster, in whose presentation the invited country is announced each year and the kick-off is given to the festival, the artistic bar is already very high.

Great are the national artists and designers who have been invited to design it and many outsiders who have accepted the assignment.

Without going any further, Joana Vasconcelos, the most famous and international contemporary Portuguese artist, who signs the number 25 edition. Before her, the best ones did, Eduardo Arroyo (Latin American Sounds), Juan Ugalde (Sweden), Ángel Haro ( Chile), Carmen Calvo (Norway), Antonio de Felipe (Peru), El Hortelano (Africa), Mariscal (Italy), Ouka Leele (Colombia), Ceesepe (Morocco), Joan Fontcuberta (France), Alberto García Alix (Mexico) , Javier de Juan (South Africa), Dora Catarineu (Turkey), Óscar Mariné (Argentina), Chema Madoz (India), Guillermo Pérez Villalta (Cartagenas and Cartagos), Miquel Barceló (Malí) and Ángelo Mateo Charris (Brazil and Senegal).

The exhibition also brings to light some of the trophies that the festival has been harvesting in this quarter of a century.

Recognitions as important as the award for Best Small Format Festival of Spain at the Iberian Festival Awards 2018, the Best Small Format Festival at the IV Fest Awards of 2016, the Best Music Festival Award at the Music Awards of the Region of Murcia of 2017 or being chosen as the most important cultural event held in the Region of Murcia 2017 and 2018 according to the Observatory of Culture of the Contemporary Foundation.

The tour of the rooms of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center can not end without stopping to observe a curious collection of watches assembled with the image of the posters in each of its spheres or the classic cups that are published each year with the graphic image of the festival.
