The equator of the month of July arrives with the Virgin of Carmen as the main protagonist.
On Tuesday July 16 the fishermen and residents of Santa Lucia commemorated as every year the feast of their patron with the traditional mass and its subsequent sea procession through the port of Cartagena.
The events began at 6:30 p.m. in the Church of Santiago Apóstol in Santa Lucía, where the Auxiliary Bishop of Cartagena, Sebastián Chico, officiated the Ecuaristia.
During the mass, the offering of fish, bread and wine was made, which included the participation of the Chorus of the Group of Our Father Jesus Nazareno of the Marraja Brotherhood.

After the mass, around 7:30 p.m., members of the Navy dressed in white shirts and black trousers carried on their shoulders the image of their patron in the sea procession.
